As an Early-Stage Researcher in the SCENT project, I have been developing dissemination and communication initiatives directed at the general public. After periods without opportunities for in-person activities due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, new possibilities finally begin to appear, albeit timidly.
The XXVIII Targi Budownictwa, Wyposażenia Wnętrz i Ogrodów 2022 was held in March 5-6, 2022 in the Wojewódzkiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji Zielona Góra Drzonkowie, residents and visitors meet exhibitors and manufacturers who offer construction services and products, developers, architectural design, interior, and garden design and decoration studios, companies dealing in consulting and financial services and institutions supporting the development of construction.
More than 80 exhibitors from the region and all over Poland presented themselves in the XXVIII Targi Budownictwa, Wyposażenia Wnętrz i Ogrodów 2022 halls in Drzonków. At the stand of the Lubuska Okręgowa Izba Inżynierów Budownictwa, residents and visitors also meet the University of Zielona Góra and have had contact with the field of research and teaching.
Several activities were developed on the second day of the fair, e.g., drawing competition, interviews with interesting people from UZ, Lubuska Okręgowa Izba Inżynierów Budownictwa, and direct presentations: Electromagnetic compatibility of smart cities and a demonstration of the use of a thermal imaging camera in construction. Being through the direct presentations that the SCENT project was present.
The residents and visitors were highly motivated and asked interesting questions. There was a lot of interest in comprehending EMC issues and their applicability in the civil and construction environment. The Polish language was a challenge. However, dr hab. inż. Robert Smoleński, prof. UZ and Prof. Dr. Piotr Leżyński coordinated all the demonstrations, making communication easy. Douglas Nascimento, the Early-Stage Researcher 9 of the ETOPIA Project also participated. Please, see below some moments of this invigorating in-person activity.
